Questions and answers

QWhich towns and areas in Goa do you cover?

Our company records list these towns and neighbourhoods. In Panaji: Altinho, Campal, Miramar, Caranzalem, Dona Paula, Taleigao, St Inez and Ribandar. In Margao: Fatorda, Navelim, Aquem, Borda, Gogol and Comba. In Vasco da Gama: Dabolim, Chicalim and Bogmalo. In Porvorim: Alto Porvorim, Socorro, Sangolda and Penha de França. In Ponda: Farmagudi, Kundaim, Shiroda and Usgao. We also cover Mapusa, Calangute, Baga and Candolim, including Sinquerim and Nerul.

QMy village isn't on your list. Can you still help?

Please ask. We are looking at a few more parts of Goa, but we only say we serve a place once that is confirmed. Send us your village or nearest landmark, the type of property and the pest you are dealing with. We will tell you honestly whether we can take on the job. If we cannot, we will say so rather than make a booking we cannot keep.

QHow quickly can a technician come?

We do not publish fixed response times, and all bookings are subject to availability. The more detail you give us, the faster we can suggest a realistic slot. Tell us the pest, the size and type of property, its location and anything urgent, such as a wasp nest beside a doorway. We will offer a time we can actually keep and let you know if it is likely to take longer.

QWhen should I book termite treatment, before or after the monsoon?

For an existing home, an inspection before or early in the monsoon is useful. Termite activity often becomes easier to spot around the first rains, as mud tubes on walls or winged termites near lights. For new construction, pre-construction soil treatment is scheduled with the builder at the right stage of work. It is planned around heavy rain, because waterlogged soil is not suitable for treatment.

QShould mosquito control start before the rains?

Yes, prevention works best before the monsoon sets in. Clear gutters, terraces, plant saucers and discarded containers where rainwater can collect. During and after the rains, mosquito control may combine breeding-site reduction, larviciding, indoor residual spraying and fogging, depending on the property and season. Fogging on its own rarely solves the problem if breeding water remains. If anyone at home develops a fever, please see a doctor promptly.

QWhy does furniture show tiny holes and powder after the monsoon?

Small round holes with fine, flour-like powder beneath them usually point to wood-boring beetles, such as powder-post or furniture beetles. Goa's humid climate suits them, and the signs often become noticeable in the months after the rains. Wood borer treatment covers furniture, doors, frames and structural timber. Report it early, because damage builds up quietly inside the wood before it shows on the surface.

QHow should I prepare a villa or flat I rent out to guests?

Book the visit for a gap between guests and leave time afterwards for airing. Before the technician arrives, store food in sealed containers and clear kitchen counters and the cupboards to be treated. For bed bug work, strip the beds. Ask your caretaker or another representative to be present throughout. Keep children and pets out of treated areas until they are dry or as advised, then ventilate before the next arrival.

QCan you treat bed bugs without closing an entire hotel or guesthouse?

Bed bug treatment is done room by room, with an inspection to find where the problem is and follow-up visits to check progress. Neighbouring rooms are usually inspected as well, because bed bugs travel on luggage and bedding. Our technician will advise how long an affected room should stay empty. This approach is used in hotels, hostels and staff accommodation as well as homes.

QWhat records do you provide for hotels and restaurants?

Goa clients receive service reports, or proof of service, after each visit, along with WhatsApp updates. Food businesses receive documentation aligned with HACCP and FSSAI audit expectations, and we maintain Material Safety Data Sheets for the products we use. These records support your audit file. Your kitchen hygiene, waste handling and building maintenance still play their own part under FSSAI Schedule 4.

QAre you licensed, and what products do you use?

In Goa, we are a licensed pest control operator with the Directorate of Agriculture, Goa. We use products registered with the CIB&RC under the Insecticides Act, 1968, and we maintain Material Safety Data Sheets for them. We prefer targeted methods, such as gel baits in cracks and bait stations for rodents, over blanket spraying. We combine these with sanitation and proofing advice.

QIs treatment safe around children and pets?

Treatments are applied in a targeted way, but a few simple precautions still matter. Keep children and pets away from treated areas until they are dry or for as long as your technician advises. Cover or move fish tanks and pet bowls, open windows to ventilate, and wash your hands after touching treated surfaces. If anyone feels unwell or has a reaction, see a doctor.

QWhat does the warranty cover?

For specific services, the warranty applies to the area we treated, as set out in your service agreement. The terms vary by pest and treatment. The warranty excludes structural changes, new construction and cases where post-service instructions were not followed. Pests arriving from a neighbour's property or from outside are not covered. Ask your technician which entry points to seal and what habits help keep them out.

QHow can I pay, and what if I need to cancel?

Payment follows your quotation or invoice. We accept cash, UPI transfer, card, net banking and bank transfer. If your plans change, please let us know at least 48 hours before the scheduled service. Cancellations made later than that may attract a late-cancellation fee. You can reschedule through the same channel you used to book.

QIs there anything you won't do?

Yes. We will not promise permanent or guaranteed results, because pests can return from outside or after building changes. We will not use products that are not CIB&RC-registered, and we will not give DIY chemical recipes or mixing advice. We will not carry out a service without a client representative present. We also will not claim to serve an area until it is confirmed.

Before booking pest control in Goa, people tend to ask the same practical questions. Which towns do we cover? When should treatment happen around the monsoon? How do you get a holiday villa ready? What records will a hotel or restaurant receive? This page summarises those themes first, and the detailed answers follow in the questions below.

Where in Goa do we work, and how does booking work?

Our Goa branch in Chimbel covers Panaji (Panjim), Margao, Vasco da Gama, Mapusa, Porvorim and Ponda. It also covers the coastal belt of Calangute, Candolim and Baga, including a number of neighbourhoods within each town. The full list of areas we serve shows which localities are included.

If your village is not on the list, ask anyway. We will tell you plainly whether we can help rather than guess.

You can book through the website, by email or by phone, subject to availability. We do not publish fixed response times. When you get in touch, tell us the pest, the type of property and its location so we can suggest a realistic slot.

How does Goa's monsoon affect the timing of treatment?

Goa's heavy south-west monsoon and humid coastal climate shape pest problems through the year. Standing water gives mosquitoes places to breed, and damp timber suits wood-boring beetles. Termite activity often becomes more noticeable around the first rains, when winged termites may gather near lights.

A practical calendar for most homes:

PeriodWhat to focus on
Before the monsoonTermite inspection, clearing gutters and terraces, fixing leaks, sealing gaps around pipes
During the monsoonChecking for mosquito breeding water after heavy spells, watching for termite mud tubes on damp walls, keeping drains clear
After the monsoonChecking furniture, doors and frames for small holes and fine powder from wood borers, drying out damp corners where cockroaches and silverfish shelter
Dry seasonRoutine general pest control, rodent proofing, planning construction-stage anti-termite work

Anti-termite treatment in India is described in the Indian Standard IS 6313. Part 2 covers pre-construction soil treatment and Part 3 covers treatment of existing buildings. For more detail, see our termite control services in Goa and our guide to mosquito control in Goa.

Rental villas, hotels and restaurants

If you let out a villa or flat to holidaymakers, the main challenge is fitting treatment between bookings. Plan the visit for a gap between guests and ask your caretaker to be present, because our terms require a client representative to accompany technicians. Leave time for treated areas to dry and rooms to air before the next arrival.

Bed bugs are handled room by room, with follow-up visits. Read more about bed bug treatment in Goa. One published testimonial from a Goa purchase manager describes a bed bug problem in staff accommodation being resolved within the first three months.

For hotels, resorts and restaurants, the paperwork matters as much as the treatment. Goa clients receive service reports after visits, and food businesses receive documentation aligned with HACCP and FSSAI audit expectations. We also maintain Material Safety Data Sheets for the products we use.

Your own hygiene and maintenance under FSSAI Schedule 4 still count at audit time. Pest control records support that work but cannot replace it.

Warranty, payment and what we will not do

Warranty applies to the treated area for specific services, as set out in your service agreement. It varies by pest and treatment. It excludes structural changes, new construction and cases where post-service instructions were not followed.

Pests that come in from a neighbouring property or from outside are a matter of prevention, so ask your technician how to reduce that risk.

Payment follows your quotation or invoice. We accept cash, UPI transfer, card, net banking and bank transfer. If you need to cancel, please tell us at least 48 hours before the scheduled service, as a late-cancellation fee may apply.

There are also things we will not do. We will not promise permanent or guaranteed results, and we will not use products that are not CIB&RC-registered. We also do not share DIY chemical recipes. Our how we work page explains our inspection-led Integrated Pest Management approach.
