This policy explains what personal information Efficacy Pest Control collects through this website, why we collect it, how we look after it and the choices you have. It applies to both of our offices: our Goa branch in Chimbel and our Hyderabad-region branch in Shamshabad, Rangareddy.

Who we are

Efficacy Pest Control provides pest management services from two offices, listed on our locations page. For any privacy question or request, write to us using the contact details at the end of this policy.

What we collect

Information you give us

When you send an enquiry, request an inspection, book a residential service or ask about a commercial programme or annual contract, we collect the details you enter:

• your name and phone number (and email address, which is optional for households and required for business enquiries);
• the branch you choose (Goa or Hyderabad region) and your locality or area;
• the service you are interested in, your property type and, if you choose, a preferred date and time;
• your business name, for commercial and annual-contract enquiries;
• anything you write in the message box.

Please do not include sensitive personal information in the message box. We do not ask for your full street address on the website; we confirm it with you by phone when arranging a visit.

Information collected automatically

• Page the enquiry was sent from and, where present, campaign tags in the web address (such as utm_source), so we understand which pages help people find us.
• A one-way hashed version of your IP address and your browser type, stored with your enquiry to prevent spam and abuse. We cannot reverse the hash to obtain your IP address.
• Server logs kept by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep the website secure (for example, to protect forms against forgery) and to remember a form session. These do not track you across other websites. If we use analytics, we either use a privacy-friendly service that does not set tracking cookies, or we ask for your consent first; you can decline, and the website works the same either way.

Why we use your information

• To respond to your enquiry and arrange inspections, quotations and services.
• To send your enquiry to the right branch and team.
• To keep service records, including reports some businesses need for their audits.
• To keep the website secure, prevent spam and fix problems.
• To understand, in aggregate, which pages are useful so we can improve them.

We process your information with your consent (you tick the consent box on our forms), to take steps you ask for before entering into a service agreement, to meet legal obligations, and to keep our website and services secure. We do not use your enquiry details for unrelated marketing, and we never sell them.

Who we share it with

• Our team at the branch handling your enquiry.
• Service providers who help us run the website and email (for example, our hosting and email providers), only as needed to provide those services.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

If you contact us on WhatsApp or by phone, those conversations are also handled under the terms of the service you use, such as WhatsApp’s own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and service records for as long as we need them to respond to you, provide and document services, and meet legal and accounting obligations. After that, we delete or anonymise them. You can ask us to delete your enquiry earlier if we no longer need it for those purposes.

How we protect it

Enquiries are stored on secured servers with access limited to authorised staff through individual accounts. Branch staff only see enquiries for their own branch. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Your choices and rights

In line with Indian data protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you;
• correct or update it;
• delete it, where we no longer need it;
• withdraw your consent for future processing (this does not affect anything already done).

Children

Our website and services are intended for adults arranging pest control for homes and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy when our website or services change. The date at the bottom of the page shows when it was last updated.
